Capacity View
Answers one question: does the current plan hold on resources? Monitoring and configuration/rules together, by vendor and month.
What you can do
The capacity view answers whether the current plan exceeds resource limits—utilization, headroom, and used vs. available capacity by vendor and month, aligned with Gantt capacity summaries and KPI metrics.
- Monitoring: utilization and available vs. used capacity by vendor/month;
- Configuration: capacity caps, resource mapping, inspection units;
- Resource rules: name mapping, exclusions, and advanced constraints;
- APIs: capacity-summary / capacity-summary-range power monitoring and Agent queries.
Suggested order
Start with monitoring to see if overload is vendor-specific, month-specific, or widespread. Then check configuration and rules before re-validating in scheduling views.
- Hard to schedule in table → crowded in Gantt → confirm constraints in Capacity;
- Re-check table/Gantt after config changes;
- Some capacity data may not show in personal workspaces—shared workspaces are more complete.
With AI
Ask Compass can read capacity via query_capacity and capacity_snapshot. Open the relevant table or capacity view first and specify time range and vendor dimension for sharper answers.
