Smart Suggestions
Ask Compass uses your open spreadsheet, Gantt, and capacity context to propose actionable schedule optimizations and structural adjustments.
What you can do
Smart suggestions help you improve an existing plan. The Agent reads your current sheets and UI state, then uses query_spreadsheet, spreadsheet_action, and related tools to propose filters, summaries, local tweaks, or replan directions for you to evaluate.
- Spreadsheet: filter and aggregate by project, vendor, or due date; explain fields and formula ideas;
- Scheduling: discuss optimization, bottlenecks, and local adjustments within a clear scope;
- Capacity: analyze vendor load and overrun risk with synced data (query_capacity);
- Documents and screenshots: summarize selections or interpret Gantt anomalies and customer confirmations.
How to get sharper answers
Name the sheet, rows, or filters. Say whether you want status or a proposed change. For scheduling, distinguish full replans vs. single-row/vendor tweaks; include time range and vendor.
- Fastest context: table selection → Add to chat;
- If data isn’t synced, the copilot will ask you to load first;
- Suggestions assist decisions—they never auto-write business data.
Typical scenarios
Near-due batch triage, adjustment ideas when a vendor is overloaded, or impact checks when inserting new orders—all can start with Compass, then be validated in planning tables or Gantt.
