Change Explanations
Every schedule adjustment comes with readable notes on constraints, impact scope, and due-date shifts—so changes stay traceable and reviewable.
What you can do
Change explanations answer why a move was made. When you run scheduling actions or the Agent proposes adjustments, the system describes triggered constraints, affected tasks and vendors, and whether key due dates shift.
- Constraint conflicts: outsourcing windows, resource exclusions, capacity caps, and more;
- Impact scope: affected orders, operations, vendors, and time windows;
- Due-date shifts: before/after comparisons for key milestones;
- Traceability: works with undo/redo and lock mechanisms to preserve context.
Fit in the scheduling flow
Suggested flow: filter a batch in planning tables → run scheduling or describe the goal to the Agent → read the explanation → validate in Gantt/capacity → confirm or undo in the table.
- After Gantt drag fine-tuning, related rows and time constraints update in sync;
- Capacity view verifies whether vendor load issues mentioned in the explanation are resolved;
- Keep asking Compass until the explanation is clear before you confirm.
Who it helps
Planners who need to understand algorithm moves quickly; supervisors explaining changes on the floor; customer-facing teams aligning on revised due dates.
